GoLight remote control spotlights are the pan-and-tilt searchlights you see on plow trucks, tow rigs and patrol vehicles: a 12 volt LED, halogen or HID head that turns and tilts from a handheld wireless remote, a wireless dash remote or a wired controller. GoLight remote control spotlights for trucks and work vehicles
GoLight made its first remote-controlled spotlight, the model 5149, in 1994, and the company still builds the line in Nebraska. The idea has not changed: a sealed light head on a motorised base that rotates and tilts on command, so a driver can sweep a ditch, read a house number or light a hitch from inside the cab. The current heads are LED, halogen or HID, all 12 volt, and the remotes are wireless handheld, wireless dash-mount or wired.
Most of what is on this page is either a complete light or a part for one, and the GXL fixed LED floodlight is the exception for decks and spreaders where the light does not need to move.

Stryker spotlights
Stryker is the current flagship: a low-profile head in LED, halogen (ST) or HID with a wireless handheld remote. It is listed with a permanent base or with the magnetic mounting system for a truck that does not get a drilled roof. The LED version draws the least current and is the one most fleets order now.
RadioRay and Golight GT spotlights
RadioRay is the original GoLight shape, with a taller head, and the Golight GT halogen adds a wireless dash remote to the handheld. Both are still sold as complete lights and both accept the Golight/RadioRay LED retrofit insert if you want to keep the base and upgrade the lamp.
LED inserts and lens accessories
The Stryker LED insert and the Golight/RadioRay LED retrofit insert replace a halogen lamp in an existing head. Snap-on flood lenses widen the beam for close work, and the rock guard protects a halogen lens on a gravel road.
Remotes, batteries and cords
Wireless handheld and dash remotes, their replacement batteries and the 20 foot wired Stryker cord are the parts most often reordered. A carrying case is listed for portable magnetic-mount lights.
Common applications

Choosing the right GoLight
Decide first whether the light stays on one truck. If it does, order the permanent-mount Stryker; if it moves between vehicles, order the magnetic mount and the carrying case. Choose LED unless you already own halogen heads and want to keep them, in which case the retrofit insert is the cheaper upgrade. Pick the remote by where you drive from: a dash remote for a plow truck operator with both hands busy, a handheld for a passenger or a portable light. Can I upgrade an older halogen GoLight to LED?
Yes. GoLight sells an LED retrofit insert for the Golight and RadioRay heads and a separate LED insert for the halogen Stryker, so the base and remote stay and only the lamp changes.
Do you sell GoLight replacement parts?

What is the difference between a wired and wireless GoLight remote?
A wired remote connects to the light by a cord and cannot lose signal or need a battery; a wireless remote works from a handheld or a dash unit without a cable run. Many fleets fit the dash remote and keep a handheld in the glove box.
