Outlander, RVR and Eclipse Cross trailer hitches and wiring for Mitsubishi
The Outlander is the centre of this collection. Class 3 hitches with a 2 inch receiver are listed for the 2007 to 2013, 2014 to 2020 and 2022 to 2026 Outlander and the 2018 to 2022 and 2023 to 2026 Outlander PHEV, with a CURT 4-flat kit and a Tekonsha T-One harness for each generation. The 2006 to 2009 Raider is the reason Dodge tags appear: it is a Dodge Dakota with a Mitsubishi front end, so its hitch, tailgate lock and tool boxes are the Dakota parts.

- Hitch and harness for every Outlander generation. All three generations and both PHEV generations have a Class 3 hitch and a plug-in harness listed.
- RVR listed under both names. Titles read Outlander Sport and RVR, so Canadian owners find the part under their own badge.
- Canadian stock. Ships from Winnipeg, most within 7 to 10 business days.
Choosing the right Mitsubishi hitch
Match the generation: a 2021 and a 2022 Outlander take different hitches, and the PHEV has its own listings. A 1-1/4 inch receiver on a Lancer, Mirage or RVR is for a bike rack; a 2 inch Class 3 on an Outlander or Eclipse Cross is for a trailer. Stay under both the hitch rating and the tow rating in your owner's manual. If you are not sure what fits, contact us with your year, make, model and configuration.
Common questions
What class hitch does a Mitsubishi Outlander need?
A Class 3 with a 2 inch receiver. CURT lists one for every Outlander generation since 2007 and Draw-Tite for 2014 to 2026, with separate PHEV hitches for 2018 to 2026.
Is 4-flat wiring enough for a Mitsubishi?
Yes for any trailer without electric brakes. Every Mitsubishi harness here ends in a 4-way flat, which runs the lights on a utility trailer, tent trailer or small boat trailer. A 7-way is not listed for any Mitsubishi.
Does a Mitsubishi need a brake controller?
Only when the trailer has its own electric brakes. Each province sets a weight above which trailer brakes are mandatory, and the trailers an Outlander is rated to pull usually sit under it.
Is the RVR the same as the Outlander Sport?
Yes. RVR is the Canadian name for the Outlander Sport, and every hitch and harness here is tagged for both names and the same 2011 to 2026 years.
