Auto reset or push-to-trip?
Auto reset breakers reconnect the circuit on their own once they cool down. They suit circuits that see brief overloads in normal use, like wiper motors, heater blowers, and lighting, where you want the circuit to recover without pulling over.
Push-to-trip (manual reset) breakers stay off until you reset them, and can be tripped by hand with the button. They suit troubleshooting, upfitting work, and circuits you want positively disconnected while you work on them, which is why installers often prefer them on liftgates, plows, and auxiliary hydraulics.
Large frame models at 150A and up use a bigger body and heavier studs for high-current connections like liftgate power feeds and winch circuits.

Frequently asked questions
What size circuit breaker do I need?
Match the breaker to the circuit's wire gauge and the load's continuous draw, not just the accessory's peak rating. The device or upfit manual usually states the required protection. If you are between sizes, check the spec sheet on the product page or contact us and we will confirm the right part.
What is the difference between a 50 amp and a 60 amp breaker?
Only the trip threshold. A 50A breaker (CB50) protects circuits wired and loaded for up to 50 amps continuous; a 60A (CB60) allows more current before tripping. Fit the rating your circuit was designed for; oversizing removes the protection.
Can I replace a fuse with a circuit breaker?
Often yes, at the same amp rating, and it saves carrying spare fuses on circuits that trip in normal service. Confirm the mounting style and stud size on the product page.
