RotopaX Fuel Packs & Mounts
RotopaX fuel packs are rotomolded gasoline, diesel and water containers that clamp to a mounting plate instead of sliding around a truck bed. This collection holds the RotopaX line as we sell it: gas packs from 1.75 gallons, 2 gallon diesel packs, RollpaX 1.5 gallon gas and water packs, the lower-cost FuelpaX 4.5 gallon, and the mounts, plates, L-brackets and spouts that go with them.
RotopaX is made in Utah. Packs bolt to a truck, Jeep, UTV, van or trailer through a single or double plate, and most orders ship from Winnipeg in 7 to 10 business days.
Fuel packs, water packs and the mounts that hold them, from RotopaX
A RotopaX pack is a rotomolded polyethylene container with a hole through its centre. The pack mount's threaded post passes through that hole and its handle screws down to clamp the pack to a mounting plate, so one pack, or two stacked with an extension, rides on a bumper or rack without straps. Packs are colour-coded: red for gasoline, yellow for diesel, white for water.
The listings fall into three groups: containers (gas, diesel and water packs, RollpaX and FuelpaX), mounting hardware (plates, pack mounts, L-bracket, RZR plate) and spouts.
Shop RotopaX by type
Gasoline, diesel and water packs
The 1.75 gallon gas pack is the thin pack that fits behind a spare tire or on a UTV cage; the 2 gallon diesel pack is the yellow equivalent. Water packs share the same footprint and mount, so a fuel and a water pack can stack on one post.
RollpaX packs
RollpaX is the round-profile RotopaX container, listed in 1.5 gallon gas and 1.5 gallon water, for roll cages and roof baskets where a flat pack has nowhere to sit.
FuelpaX by RotopaX
FuelpaX is the value line from the same factory, in larger sizes; the 4.5 gallon is listed here. It uses its own mounting system, so order the FuelpaX universal plate with it. FuelpaX and RotopaX mounts do not interchange.
Mounts, plates and brackets
The single mounting plate bolts to any flat surface and takes one pack mount. The deluxe pack mount has the longer post for two stacked packs. The L-bracket turns a bed side or bumper into a mounting point, and the RZR plate is the bolt-on plate for Polaris RZR side-by-sides. That covers a pickup, a Jeep tire carrier, a UTV or a trailer tongue.
Spouts and caps
Spouts are sold separately, so a replacement RotopaX spout is a small order. The conventional spout set is the standard pour spout, the self-venting spout pours without gulping, and the Eagle spouts in 1.5 inch and 1.75 inch fit the matching cap thread.
Common applications
Overland pickups and Jeeps carrying an extra 2 to 4 gallons for a day off pavement. Side-by-sides and snowmobile trailers, where a locked-down pack beats a jerry can rolling in the box. For fuel volumes beyond a few gallons, a transfer tank is the better tool: see Dee Zee transfer tanks and the tanks collection.
Why RotopaX
- One mount system across the line. Gas, diesel and water packs share one centre hole, so plates, mounts and extensions interchange.
- Fuel-specific packs. Separate gasoline, diesel and water containers, colour-coded so nobody pours from the wrong one.
- Spares are listed. Spouts, plates and brackets are sold on their own, so a lost spout is a small order rather than a new pack.
- Ships across Canada. Orders leave Winnipeg in 7 to 10 business days.
Choosing the right RotopaX pack
Start with the contents: gasoline, diesel or water decides the pack. Measure the flat area where the plate will bolt. Count how many packs will stack on that spot: one takes the standard pack mount, two need the deluxe mount or an extension.

Common questions
What is the difference between RotopaX and FuelpaX?
FuelpaX is the lower-cost line made by RotopaX, in larger sizes such as the 4.5 gallon, with its own mounting plate; the two mounting systems do not interchange.
Can I buy a replacement RotopaX spout?
Yes. The conventional spout set, the self-venting spout and the 1.5 inch and 1.75 inch Eagle spouts are all listed separately. Match the spout to your pack's cap size.
Can RotopaX packs be stacked?
Yes. Two packs stack on one plate using the deluxe pack mount or an extension, and they can be different contents, for example one gas and one water.
How do I mount RotopaX on a spare tire?
The single mounting plate or an L-bracket bolts to a tire carrier, and the pack mount clamps the pack to it. RotopaX also makes a dedicated spare tire mount; if it is not listed, ask and we can order it.
