Buick Parts & Accessories
69 productsBuick trailer hitch and wiring kits for the Enclave, Envision, Encore, Encore GX, Envista, LaCrosse, Lucerne and Rainier from CURT, Draw-Tite, Tekonsha and Hopkins. Class 3 hitches with a 2 inch receiver cover the Enclave and Envision, Class 1 and 2 hitches with a 1-1/4 inch receiver cover the Encore, Envista and the sedans, and the wiring runs from plug-in 4-way flat harnesses to CURT 7-way custom wiring for the 2018 to 2026 Enclave.
Many hitches are listed as Buick and Chevrolet because the Enclave shares its frame with the Traverse and GMC Acadia. Absolute Autoguard ships from Winnipeg across Canada, most parts within 7 to 10 business days.
Trailer hitches and wiring for the Buick Enclave, Envision and Encore
Buick towing is mostly Enclave towing, and the collection reflects that: the Enclave is the most tagged model, followed by the Envision, Encore GX, LaCrosse, Rainier and Envista. CURT supplies more than half of the products, Draw-Tite about a fifth, with Tekonsha and Hopkins covering the wiring.
About half the listings are tagged Chevrolet or GMC as well. The Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia take the same hitch, the Rainier shares with the Trailblazer and the Terraza with the Uplander, so the cross-listings are correct fitment.

Choosing the right Buick hitch
Check the generation first: a 2017 Enclave and a 2018 Enclave take different hitches. For towing, take a Class 3 with a 2 inch receiver. For a bike rack on an Encore or Envista, a Class 1 or 2 with a 1-1/4 inch receiver is enough. Compare the hitch rating on the product page with the tow rating in your owner's manual and use the lower figure. If you are not sure what fits, contact us with your year, make, model and configuration.
Common questions
What class of hitch does a Buick Enclave use?
A Class 3 hitch with a 2 inch receiver, listed by CURT and Draw-Tite for every Enclave generation since 2008.
Do I need 4-flat or 7-way wiring on a Buick Enclave?
A 4-flat is enough for a trailer with lights only. A 7-way adds electric brake and 12 volt charge circuits, and both Tekonsha and CURT list 7-way harnesses for the 2018 to 2026 Enclave.
Does a Buick need a brake controller?
Only if the trailer has electric brakes. Each province sets a weight above which trailer brakes are required, so a larger camper behind an Enclave will need a brake controller and a 7-way harness.
My Buick already has a 7-way plug. What do I need?
A Hopkins 7:4 or 6:4 Multi-tow adapter, which plugs into the factory socket and gives you a 4-flat for the trailer with no splicing.
